From the mother liquor of life,
In a world so full of strife.
-
The first and foremost is one,
To be installed in the mind's centre,
To scan the thoughts entering it,
And keep the negative ones out.
One is required for the heart as well,
To filter hatred, and greed, and anger,
Making it cordial and compassionate,
For all, all the time, everywhere!
The speech, too, needs to be sieved,
By checking the unsavoury words,
From slipping out of the lips,
Making someone displeased and hurt.
Nature in its profound wisdom,
In a world so full of strife.

Has blessed us with these devices,
But are we sensible enough too
But are we sensible enough too
To use them in our daily practice?
