Here is a magic wand called 'smile,'
That can make you forget,
your woes and pains for a while,
With an assurance of natural justice.
It is on the face of an innocent child,
Unaware of the challenges of life,
To be faced by him as an adult,
With all its storms and strife.
It is on the dewdrops waiting,
On the green leaves and grass,
To burst into myriad rainbows,
At the touch of the morning sun.
On the face of the parching earth
Receiving the first showers
After the long spell of summer
Assuring revival of life
But the sweetest ever known to me
Is on the face of a young mother
Clasping her new-born to the bosom
With ultimate pride and care.
It is a gesture asserting forever,
That life is a unique gift,
. Is, therefore, worth enjoying,
And feeling grateful about.
